Hey Alex there seems to be a bug where the mac client would stop all actions in game as if its tabbed out but the window is still open.. For example if I were to flash jump(x) and triple throw(control) then a potion(c) then follow that up with another triple throw(control), or just spam the key it would show the in game cursor under my macs actual cursor without me being able to control my character and thus die or spam click and use a potion/dark sight or quickly click my desktop and switch back to the client and use a potion/dark sight.. Also the Dark Knight skill Beserker disconnects me if its being used.. I've been to 2 Zakum raids someone would use Beserker I would disconnect and by the time I would relog in but I would be at the map to enter back in but I would be 1 hp or dead.. this gets really annoying while trying to train a higher level.
A solution that many players use is playing in full screen. When the client goes out-of-focus, it's often due to another application that you have running.
you can edit wineskin settings to allow full screen. Right click maplestory -> show package contents -> wineskin and play around with the settings. also not sure if you’ve tried cmd + enter key
this happens to me occasionally on my mac. I don’t know about yours but when mine “tabs out” it gives off a beep every time i press a key to signal illegal action because my mac detects im pressing a key with no programme to input into. When I hear that I simply click once on maplestory window to get back in. Similarly, train your reflex action when facing unresponsive potions to include clicking the screen once. E.g (after noticing pot lag) click screen -> pot / cmd+q.
Alright I have adjusted some wineskin settings and Command + Enter goes to full screen and vise versa but.. when I go to window mode its actually borderless.... is there a way to get the bar at the top back so that i can move the client around my screen?
@Seule This seems to spawn the initial window in the correct resolution, but then after split second goes back to the small 800x600 res. I'm on Mojave 10.14.6 (18G103), not sure if that matters ♂️ Only thing that kind of works is setting it to full screen, command + enter then moves back to "fixed" windowed mode where the MS window seems to be pinned in the upper left without window chrome, making it unmovable as @RADWIMPS said. Not so nice, it makes chatting with friends in Discord/Telegram way more annoying.
Hello, If you follow the steps I send above it should work 100%. Are you sure you selected the "Virtual Desktop" Option? Should be like that.
So, I'm not sure what "like that" means. I'm also trying to make the resolution of the client bigger as I can't not see anything in 800x600. Using your steps only make the game spawn bigger, but as soon as I get to the login screen, it goes back to that tiny resolution again. Isn't there any way to play on a bigger resolution in MacOS? This is a dealbreaker for me.
Hi, "Like that" means like the GIF I put. My answer was on how to make the client as a moving windowed mode. Not to be in a bigger resolution. MapleSaga is 800x600 like OG MapleStory, from all I know you can't play in a bigger resolution. (At least for MAC) I do play MapleSaga in fullscreen, which helps a alot. If you don't know how to play in fullscreen, here are the steps to follow: Spoiler: Step 1 Spoiler: Step 2 Spoiler: Step 3 Spoiler: Step 4 If you can't see anything in 800x600 I advise you to get a bigger screen or to wear glasses. Peace!
