Running on Windows 10 and NVIDIA with high computer specs. Is this just very common for the Maplesaga client to crash often during raids? If not, anyone who has successfully prevented these crashes? Thank you.
the issue is with your computer. A lot of new, high performance ones have issues with memory leaks (so i'm told). It could also be just problems for a specific raid. It's very common in zak and ht (ht has a patch for this). Otherwise try any old laptop you might have lying around for better performance or play with disconnections, many people do.
There are specific raids that dc happens during raid. Like what the above mentioned, Ht and Zak is the case. I am not sure if there is still raid client, you can ask and download it. I was told by Alex too, usually older laptop or desktop is more stable. I bought a new laptop just so I can split computer playing with my Brother. It was really found that I have more frequent disconnecting comparing to my Brother.
I play on windows10 with NVIDIA gfx card and high computer specs too(gaming laptop). Apparently old maple servers is not compatible with NVIDIA and as the above mentioned, we're crashing due to memory leaks. You can upgrade ur RAM but it would only decrease the frequency of disconnections (the memory leak will reach a certain capacity anyway). I used to dc like every 10s in zak/HT. To rectify this, aside from getting the raid client, you can right click on your maplesaga exe. and set compatibility to windows vista/windows7/ windows8. I did (windows7) and it got sooooooo much better. I still dc in HT probably twice or thrice for the whole run and once or twice (sometimes not at all!) for zak/czak, but it's better than nothing. (Credits to GMSquirt!) Hope this helps!
Oh, that happens. It's our computer trying to adjust to the new compability setting. Just keep trying and trying to open it. Over time the error message would pop up less frequently and you'll be fine just as I am!
