Why can't i play with a controller?

I tried adding the maplesaga client to steam input and launching from there so i can play with a controller, but the steam overlay doesnt even appear, i tried other programs like joytokey, joyshockmapper and such but no luck, the client has some hard block for controllers for some reason, any help?

 

Hey, MapleStory is a game that launced at 2005 and was made for PC only.
It does not support controllers.

yea i know it doesnt support controllers, but you can add every application to steam input and tweak it to work with a controller, but the problem is MapleSaga client in particular has a hard block against controllers and such, it doesnt even work with other software like Xpadder and Joy2Key, ive played MapleLegends, MapleRoyals, Maple Destiny and many many other private servers all with a controller, Saga has always been the only exception to this list

hey brother ive played maplesaga for years with joy2key. the trick is to open joytokey first and running as administrator. run maplesaga as administrator as well and you should be fine.
