Hey good people, I've been stuck on 'Verifying "MapleSaga"' forever. I've tried everything in this thread to no avail, dragging things out of different folders, holding down control to open, all that. I'm running macOS Sierra which I'm guessing may be the issue. There's no option to open apps from unidentified developers which could bypass the verification stage in Sierra. More details below: Is there any way I can get it to run or do I have to give up on it? :'(
I had the same problem for the longest time. What I did was allow Mac to run unidentified apps through changing the settings in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy. Make sure you run install.command first upon installing MapleSaga. When completed, you can open MapleSaga. Other options that I did: Control + Click the install.command to open it successfully and drag MapleSaga from Downloads to Applications in Finder and also Control + click it. The Verifying MapleSaga load took 5~10 minutes for me.
Ah! Yes I tried that before as well but it still didn't work. I ended up having to disable gatekeeper with Terminal... essentially running "sudo spctl --master-disable" OTL instructions here if anyone else is looking for it.
Considering I am now wreaking havoc upon the MapleSaga server with my terrible noob hair-do, I would say it did :^)
Hi, I'm trying to do that right now but the word "password" pops out but it won't let me type in it after. Do you know how to fix this problem?
Did you still have to wait for it to verify after that?? or do i redownload after i shut off gatekeeper?
