    Introduction

    What are Savages?
Savages are a new "Battle Magician" class that is added on top of the existing Ironman mode on MapleSaga.

What is Ironman? In MapleSaga, Ironman is a game mode focused entirely on self-sufficiency. This means:
    - No parties or Party Quests
    - No trading with players, including their merchants in the Free Market
    - No access to your storage, Gachapon, VIP dungeons, and MiuMiu's traveling store
    - Only looting drops from mobs you've killed

Why play Ironman Mode? Consider Ironman mode as playing MapleSaga on hard-mode. It's a fun way to test your Maple knowledge and challenge yourself without relying on other players' help. In this mode, it's all about the grind and no shortcuts.

Why play Savage Mode? You can play as a Savage if you like to smack things with high damage, while also having the mobility of a Magician with Teleport and flashy Magician skills. This is MapleSaga's take on "Battle Magicians".

    Getting Started

    1. To begin the Ironman Challenge, create a character and head to the Amherst Weapon Store. Inside, you'll need to find the Broken Iron Fragment hidden in a box located in the top-right corner, behind the roof and pipes. Refer to the images below for guidance:

    2. Once you have the Broken Iron Fragment in your inventory, speak to Shanks to leave Maple Island. Let's embark on your adventures!

    3. Next, job advance as a Magician. To become a Savage, you must fulfill the following 3 requirements:
    1. Become a Magician.
    2. Get to Level 30.
    3. Ensure that your STR stat (Strength) exceeds your INT stat (Intelligence). Savages aren't very smart, after all!

    4. Once you fulfill those 3 requirements, speak to Grendel The Really Old. He will pity you for your low intelligence and let you job advance for free, without any trials.

    5. You are now a Savage! Some notes:
    • Savages cannot complete 4th job advancement. They may only become Ice/Lightning Mages, Fire/Poison Mages or Priests after level 70
    • Savages cannot equip weapons that have a required level of over 30, unless it is a 1-handed Blunt Weapon
    • From level 31 - 50, you will only gain 2 SP per level. The remaining 1 SP is used to improve your Blunt Weapon mastery, increasing your accuracy and mastery %!
    • From level 31 - 120, you will gain 35 STR, 2 DEX and 3 INT per level for a total of 40 AP per level
    • From level 121 - 200, you will gain 70 STR, 2 DEX and 3 INT per level for a total of 80 AP per level!
    • Poison Mist is nerfed by 90%. You're a Savage after all, you just aren't sharp-witted enough for the dark arts of poison spells!
    • You can speak with Francois in Ellinia to craft Savage weapons! Francois is right by the Potion Shop in Ellinia.
      • Savage weapons are Magician-only 1-handed Blunt Weapons which have both weapon attack and magic attack
