Introduction to the best(?) warrior job
This guide is about one of the least played job, the Paladin! I'll mostly cover things such as training and roles that paladin fulfill in raids. However this guide will NOT cover things such as skill builds (until 4th job) or AP guide as they can be found mostly anywhere if you look hard enough.
    Guide Content:
    1.Introduction to Paladin
    3.Pros&Cons
    4.HP Washing
    5.Elemental Guide
    6.Training
    7.Bossing
    8.Extra stuffs

    Introduction to Paladin:
Paladins like most Heroes and Dark Knights have a rather static 1st and 2nd job, having little to no variety in skills. Paladin do get the short end of the stick with pretty much no useful buffs/skills for training (threaten is pretty useless for the most part) while Heroes get rage and Dark Knight gets Hyper Body. This changes at 3rd job where warriors get most of their signature skills, with Paladins getting access to a wider array of elemental charges to assist them in training. At 4th job, Paladins are perhaps the quickest warrior to level up with thanks to Heaven's Hammer and Blast paired with elemental charges.

    Why Paladin?
Frequently overshadowed by the other 2 warriors, Paladins are perhaps one of the last few jobs you'd consider playing, especially as a main. However, there are actually few incentives to playing paladins. Here's some pros and cons about the job

    Pros:
    • Naturally high HP and cheap to wash
    • Power Guard paired with Achilles makes Paladin a great seduce mule in HT
    • Really cheap skill books to the extent where people would literally drop them in FM
    • Quick to train with thanks to Heaven's Hammer and Elemental Charges
    • Stance
    • Advanced Charge Blow pretty much lets you stun mobs permanently
    • REALLY high damage for each line of Blast. You can even knockback Red Nirg with ease (80k)
    • Heaven's Hammer is amazing on bosses with many body parts

    Cons:
    • Doesn't bring much to the party (No specific buffs needed and can be filled in by DK/Heroes )
    • Low damage output when there's no elemental advantage
    • Paladin stigma is a thing
    • Hero does most of the thing that Paladin does except better
    • Not really sought after in raids
    • Everyone thinks charged blow is normal attack

    HP Washing:
While in an ideal scenario, you'd want to be 2nd or 3rd seduce so you can cast Heaven's Hammer more often in Horntail. However this does reduce the chances of you getting into raids if there's any heroes with lower hp as you'd most probably be regarded as a non-dps job. HP washing is thus highly suggested to make yourself more marketable for landing a slot in raids. You can refer to other HP washing guide as they'd be much more in depth. Suggested minimum hp would be at least 28k with items.

    Elemental Guide:
Now for the main appeal of Paladins, the elemental charges!

    Training
Training shouldn't really differ from other warriors up till 3rd job where you get your elemental charges. At that point here are some of the options below. Prioritize Lightning first, followed by Fire then finally Ice.

From the moment you get enough hp (4k+ will be nice) and maxed Power Guard, you can go ahead and turn it on and touch Skelegons till death. You can also pair it yourself up with a HS that can get exp and you should be getting about 25k~40k EXP/minute. This method can be useful for players who're washing and have no mages to leech themselves with. Do this only if you can't get a spot in BossPQs.
    How it works:
Skelegons have an attack up buff that brings their touch damage to about 2.7k for lower defense characters. Doing this brings up many opportunities for INT warriors to train without relying on a bishop that much. It's definitely not the best training method out there but it's viable for sure. Do attack the Skelegon once in a while to bait it to using attack up buff.

Vikerola (As soon as you get a decent amount of SP invested in Lightning charge)
    Qualm Monk/Trainee (Level 110 onwards)
    Qualm Guardian (Level 115 onwards)

Blue Dragon Turtles (90+, would prefer Vikerola instead)
    Blue Wyverns (105+)
Bigfoot (As soon as you get decent amount of SP in Blast until level 200)

Honestly just avoid training with Ice entirely.

Past 4th job, you'll have two ways to train depending on which aspect you wish to focus on. If washing/leeching, max Heaven's Hammer ASAP as it lets you constantly active leech (From level 29 Heaven's Hammer onwards). You can also pair it with Rush/Power Guard to clear mobs really quickly. Petrifighters would be a great place to do this. If relying on area bosses, max Blast ASAP to clear Bigfoot/Female Boss/Headless Horseman/Kachuu. Fire and Lightning charge should do nicely for these bosses until you get Holy Charge past level 11.

    Bossing
    Kill it with fire

You should be able to knockback bosses quite easily here with Blast + rush.

Use Heaven's Hammer whenever it's off cooldown for arms. Keep Power Guard and Power Stance up and stand on top of the body to avoid 1/1, seals and stuns. Remember to use Monster Magnet with another warrior whenever Cancel Weapon Attack happens. Pretty straightforward. Use Holy Charge here except for arm 3 and 4. Refer to Elemental part of the guide.

Your job here is to rush the bosses to the corner and use Ice Charge on Targa and Fire Charge on Scarlion. Magnet whenever needed. Paladins excel in parties that choose to split the bosses apart. Hammer isn't really necessary here but do use it if you're the only warrior and Cancel Weapon Attack is active.

You'll be rushing Bodyguard A most of the time (hence the need for 28k hp). Keep up Fire Charge for Bodyguard A and The Boss, Ice Charge for Bodyguard B. Proceed to Blast your way through. Avoid using Heaven's Hammer on Bodyguard B as not all your attacks will land on it 100% of the time, resulting in a loss of damage with the time spent casting Heaven's Hammer. Do stand on The Boss to evade 1/1 and seals (keep Power Guard and Power Stance active)

Preheads are pretty straightforward, just slam your hammer down whenever off cooldown.

For where to stand as seduce mule and deal some damage:[IMG]
Standing here when paired with haste (or 130%+ speed) will let you walk into the wings/arms when seduced to the left. This lets you skip the damage from the tail completely and you'd walk right into your bishop's heal. Remember to keep Power Guard on at all time because of this. Remember to hammer whenever it's off cooldown as well. You shouldn't have to relog until you get a 1/1 while seduce to the right or in between the distance from wings to lower left leg. Doing this also saves your bishop doing tail seduce, especially useful in runs without Hyper Body. Keep yourself well potted and do notify your bishop you're on the way left when seduced if possible.

    Flattening the Lizard:
As much as possible, get the the middle of the map or where you can see all parts of Horntail. Proceed to jump and cast Heaven's Hammer. This ensures that your Heaven's Hammer will always land on all parts of the body. There are some occasions when you'd miss your hammer on the heads when Horntail recoils them back for a spell. The time taken to get back into position is far too small in the reduction of DPS compared to landing Heaven's Hammer on that many body parts.

Also, USE ADVANCED CHARGE BLOW . IT HITS WINGS+LEFT ARM + LEG AND HEAD C+RIGHT ARM+ WING.

Advanced(??) tips: If your bishop's Hero's Will is on cooldown and a fresh batch of monsters are summoned in Horntail during a mass seduce, you can Hero's Will and rush the monsters into the direction of the seduce. This greatly reduces the chance of getting 1/1'd as they'd be receiving small amounts of touch damage from the monsters, gaining small moments of invincibility. However DO NOT try to Monster Magnet the monsters as it doesn't work.

Really simple, just rush Kachuu away from the line of fire from the bunch of NLs you've got in your party. You can opt to use level 29 Heaven's Hammer to synchronize the timing between ninja spawns. Otherwise, use the 10 second time frame in-between level 30 Heaven's Hammer to prepare yourself to rush Kachuu. Rush will not be affected by elemental charge so don't worry too much about it.

    Reserved for future purposes

Rush Bigfoot into a corner. If you have a reasonable amount of SP invested in Power Stance, keep it active and you'd be able to hold down Blast. Typically your hits will land twice, miss once, land twice and Bigfoot jumps, allowing you to land the 3rd hit. This would repeat until Bigfoot dies or until Power Stance fails you.

If you do not have Power Stance, rush Bigfoot into a corner and hit it with Blast twice every time Bigfoot's back faces you and its head is almost in the wall.

If you wish to use Heaven's Hammer, time it similar to how you'd do Bigfoot without Power Stance. Pretty useful in maps such as Evil Dead to clear pesky Elderwraiths. Remember to keep Fire Charge up at all times.

Unfortunately for Paladins, Blast does not have the same vertical range as Brandish making Paladin's life a lot harder. Rush Female Boss into a corner, Holy Charge and spam Blast. Consider standing on the body itself to avoid 18k slap damage.

    Reserved for future purposes

    Extra Notes
-If playing on Windows, do keep your hammer in quick slot so you can keep track of the timer.
-Heaven's Hammer works the best on monsters without elemental weakness (HH is considered neutral)
-Having troubles rushing? Magnet the boss first and try rushing again!
-Regarding Blast's animation (which always looks like stab), it's still counted as 3 swings and 2 stab chances like normal attacks. Sword would still win overall despite this difference.

20 second cooldown at level 30. For non-boss mobs, HP will be reduced to 1. For bosses it'd deal massive damage instead (yes you can kill with Heaven's Hammer for bosses)
