Credits to @Iris@Iris for the great banner :)
    Hello Maplers!

Back in April 2016, GMNick @Nick@Nick brought the spirit of Omok to MapleSaga, helping enable Omok on many more maps and hosting his weekly Omok Tournaments. Nick is currently on hiatus, but we will not let his hard work go to waste! We will continue hosting Omok tournaments for anyone interested :)

November 2020 EDIT: As of November 2020, Omok Tournaments are back, on a bi-weekly basis.

For those interested in participating, please vote in the poll on this thread for the time slots that work best for you. You can vote for more than one option.

If none of the time slots work for you, please do not apply for this tournament. Otherwise, feel free to reply with the following information if you would like to attend:

    • Your character's IGN
    • Your Omok score (games won, lost and tied) on your character
    • The time slots in the poll that you voted for.
Contenders will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis, so replying early will help you secure a spot. We can only accept a maximum of 30 contenders so only serious candidates should apply. Players who have fewer games played than others may be excluded from the participant pool if we reach our limit of 30 contenders.

Omok tournaments usually last for at least an hour long. Please make sure you can stay for at least 1 hour. Failure to stay for at least 1 hour without a reasonable rationale will lead to your account being flagged for poor sportsmanship and will impact your ability to join specialty events (Omok tournaments or otherwise) in the future.

Because of the popularity around PST, we have decided to hold this season's first-ever Omok Tournament on Saturday, November 5th, 9:00PM PST (server time)!

Well I play a lot in omok online website too

Actually old maple omok rule isnot formal and fair at all

The most common play way is no specific rule like double 3

It turns out to be the one go first would have a way to win no matter what

But it is extremely hard, my maple win rate is about80%, about 20%win rate in omok online website

But most of omok online website players are still dont know how to do that the one go first would win no matter what technique

So I feel like change omok to no double 3 rule or only the one go 1st has double rule would be better

Pro of no double 3 rule: shorten the tournament time
Pro of only the one go 1st has double rule: tournament would be more fair

That might be because you never took part in a Maple Saga Omok Tournament.
