[MacOS] Hack CrossOver for unlimited trial days

1. Launch Crossover at least once, then close it.

2. Download PlistEdit Pro from https://www.fatcatsoftware.com/plisteditpro/

3. Press Command + Shift + G and type: ~/Library/Preferences

4. Open "com.codeweavers.CrossOver.plist" with PlistEdit.

5. Change "FirstRunDate" to sometime in the wayyy future, then save it.

6. Your trial period is extended!

I did this a few days before my crossover trial period ended and I'm getting this message now. Not sure if this extended trial actually works

Hi, I've tried following this guide to download the software PlistEdit Pro but it doesn't seem to work on my MacBook Pro (Catalina V10.15.4). When I launch the PlistEdit Pro, I could not follow the Step 3 listed on this guide. (Press Command + Shift + G and type: ~/Library/Preferences) I'm wondering if anyone can help me on this?

 

I had no issues when doing this on my computer

for reference I have a:

1. late 2012 macbookpro
2. barely runs anything
3. runs macOS catalina version 10.15.7

and this guide worked perfectly.
Maybe just a problem on your computer? You could try to restart it.

 

i got the same problem buy it turns out weve been trying to do it on the app itself and cmd+shift+G is done on the homescreen its not very specific on the tutorial hope this helps
