    Intro:

    Chaos party quests were released on MapleSaga on April 9th, 2021. At this time, CLPQ availability alternates daily with the Chaos Kerning Party Quest.

    Basics:

    Where = Ludibrium - Eos Tower 101st Floor
    Level = 150 ~ 200
    Time allotted = One hour
    Stages = 9
    Max party size = 6
    Min party size = 4

    Building your party:

    Despite the minimum party requirement of four players, it is strongly recommended to have a full party of six to attempt this PQ. A standard party consists of 2 mages, 1 SE, 3 DPS. At least one mage is mandatory for this PQ. DPS role is somewhat flexible and can be filled by other classes such as warriors / shadowers / etc. Talk to Red Sign in Ludibrium - Eos Tower 101st Floor to begin the Party Quest.

    Stage One - Seven:

    Use the above link as a guide for stages 1-7. It's pretty straightforward. Kill all the mobs or break all the boxes, collect passes, and turn them in. Be sure to mark portals with a coin when applicable to prevent redundant attempts at clearing portals.

    Stage Eight:

    While stages 1-7 are pretty self explanatory, stage eight can get hectic. With a little bad luck and poor teamwork, it's very possible to spend longer on this stage than on the boss.

    The goal of this stage is to find the random combination by standing on the appropriate numbered boxes to proceed. Unlike some other servers, only four players are utilized, rather than the usual five. There are several methods of finding the combination, so it's best to communicate with your team on how you'll approach this.

    The most common box method on MapleSaga uses a 1362 starting point. This is organized in such a fashion that the players start from the furthest left/topmost possible, then navigate the players further right and downward. The efficiency in this method lies in eliminating excess movement and simplicity; players need to only worry about jumping down until they reach the bottom box, then start again from the top of the column to the right. When the third player moves from 3->6, the player on 1 begins to alternate during each combination, which vastly speeds up testing. (*will include pictures / video later)

    Final Stage:

    Defeat Alishar and have your party leader turn in the pass that drops to clear the stage and earn your reward. When you're ready, kill the Black Ratz to spawn the boss.

    The boss:

    Alishar has 200,000,000 HP. It deals ~14.5k touch damage and has a mid-range magic attack that hits deals ~10k magic damage. This magic attack can be predicted by Alishar turning upside down and roaring, though it's usually not worth dodging since it doesn't apply any debuffs. Occasionally, Alishar spawns 4 Dark Klocks around itself to act as meat shields. No special action required to get rid of them, just keep attacking.
    Mobbing:

    Every thirty seconds, 9 Deep Buffoons (~350,000 HP?) will spawn. Until these mobs are cleared, Alishar will be immune to most damage. If the mobs are not cleared in thirty seconds, the party will be mass seduced. Because this is a party quest and not a raid / boss rush, players cannot re-enter upon dying or relogging.

    The Buffoons have CWA (Cancel Weapon Attack) but are vulnerable to magic damage. Mages have to be careful here though, as using two consecutive attack spells while any Buffoons are on the map will cause that mage to transform into a Buffoon themselves! While transformed, players cannot cast spells or use potions. Because of this, mages will want to alternate using their mobbing skill and an another attack spell (eg. Blizzard -> Chain Lightning -> Blizzard -> Chain Lightning) until the Buffoons have been cleared. It is possible to stand in the center of the spawns and reach all buffoons with a mage AoE skill.

    Deep Buffoons are resistant to fire attacks, so I/L mages perform best here. A competent strong I/L mage can even solo mob if they're able to avoid getting transformed. Bishops also perform well, dealing less damage but providing utility via resurrection, should a player die. F/P mages can mob, but will suffer heavily from the elemental resistance.

    Bonus Stage:

    Boxes full of junk. Skip the stage so you can get your real prize.

    Possible Rewards:

    Upon clearing the final stage, each player will earn 500 fame and a chance of one of the following: Random Skillbook, Chaos Scroll 60%, Corruption Scroll 10%. This chance at Chaos or Corruption scrolls, along with the fame, is limited to once per account per day.

    FAQ:
    Q: How is the EXP?
    A: All EXP vales remain unchanged relative to regular LPQ (Lv35-55), so CLPQ is not a good source of EXP.

    I personally think the EXP should be buffed to better match the level range for these PQs, but I don't think this should be the most effective or a primary source of EXP for players running it. Something similar to possible even slightly less than the rate of EXP gain in Neo PQ seems appropriate.
