We'll be hosting a haiku event for all who are interested. The current haiku theme is: Staying At Home Now, what is a ‘Haiku’, you may ask? Or how do you pronounce it? Haiku, pronounced [High-Coo] is a style of poetry developed by the Japanese as early as the 7th Century! How does one write a haiku, you may ask? Haikus are poems that follow a unique pattern with 3 lines: Line 1 has 5 syllables Line 2 has 7 syllables Line 3 has 5 syllables. Here is an example: SAGA is awe-some (5 syllables) I love the com-mu-ni-ty (7 syllables) Let’s play to-ge-ther (5 syllables) How does the ‘Staying At Home’ theme work? All entries are to be in image format, with a 3-line haiku underneath. 1. This haiku event will require you to write about your experience with staying at home during 2020, whether that involves studying or working remotely, or even just taking a much needed break. 2. Then, take a photo with at least 1 friend in an in-game map that's related to your haiku! Here is an example that follows the theme: Studying at school is okay but studying online is fun too! Everyone who participates is a Winner! We have a special prize and 250 NX for everyone at the end.
