I checked the other threads in this section regarding this issue and nothing worked. I re-downloaded MapleSaga fully and extracted it, and when I click on my character I disconnect with the invalid pointer error. Is there a new patch I'm not aware of? Like I said, I downloaded straight from the site, so unless the download link (Google Drive) is not updated, then not sure what's causing this.

    Thanks in advance.

Can you direct me to the link you're downloading with? All of the download links should be up-to-date.

Also, what character are you logging into?

I'm trying to sign into my character Ornstein and I'm using this download.

Are you sure you're running MapleSaga from your C:/Program Files/MapleSaga folder instead of a shortcut or older download?

It actually downloaded to my Downloads folder for me, but yes, this is a completely different and new installation which I downloaded today

EDIT: Wait, I think it might've actually gone to Program Files (x86) too. Gonna check it out, probably where the real files are, bet I just mixed it up because I've re-installed so many times

EDIT 2: Yep, that was it. Thanks for helping me fix that -_-
